We finally got to do this! And, I am so happy we did :) I'll be honest, I wasn't sure I wanted to do this. It was almost $100 for a 1 hour experience. In desperation of finding things to do (COVID lockdown) we finally bought tickets for Family Day - Feb 2021. But, due to lockdown restrictions, it was rebooked multiple times and we finally got to GOGH this past weekend.
It's actually 2 experiences because they include a 2nd ticket for the walk-thru experience, when it reopens Jul 29th.
"Conceived and custom-designed by Massimiliano Siccardi, this unique exhibit brings the artist's work to life by combining giant digital projections with an original score by Italian composer Luca Longobardi." link to website
Even entering the building was an experience. We lined on the street outside waiting for the show/vehicles in front of us to exit.
HINT: arrive early - we were there 30 mins early and we were the 3rd car in. (scroll pics)
The show was memorizing. The combination of moving music and images sweeping across the 360 degree screen that wrapped around us was totally engrossing - even Jeff stayed awake ;)
It was also very relaxing ...
Good things to know:
- don't arrive late - you won't be able to enter after the show starts - masks must be worn if you put your windows down (cooler & better pics)
- you don't need the radio station on, if your windows are down
- go to the washroom before you GOGH
Discounts:
- follow them on social - 15% promos
- Travelzoo: 20% off til Jul 3rd
Hope this inspires you to GOGH ...
Until next time, Diana & Jeffy #travelzoo #immersiveVanGogh #lighthouseImmersive #toro
